I just got a DR-5, and I can confirm that it fits onto my D70 if combined with the Nikon eyepiece adapter (Mfr. #2370).
But, I can't figure out how to get it to be upright. If I screw the eyepiece adapter tightly onto the DR-5, it's not aligned horizontally. Hence, fitted onto my D70, the DR-5 is tilted sideway to the left.
Does anyone know how to get it upright? Can the thread (where the adapter is screwed onto) on the DR-5 be twisted/spinned? I tried twisting it with my fingers, but I think it's fixed.
I have a feeling that the 'locking buttons' are part of the solution. I don't know what those buttons are supposed to lock. The manual, being a Nikon one, is very cryptic.
Also, can someone please confirm that the Canon angle finder C fits exactly on a D70?
