Wow, how many apps do you install on your phone?! I've got my Magic for so long and have never had ask me to free up memory before.
 

Guys, the HTC sense FB contacts sync issue has been resolved. No patch delivered from HTC, so I guess facebook made some changes. :think:

Anyway, its solved. Under a week. Not bad. I take back my words.
 

Hmm just stumbled on this thread
Use a Legend myself, never really bothered with many of the apps
Most of the time, usually use online tools or wiki for info rather than download apps - forex, unit converter, etc
Found Searchify to be pretty nifty, reminds me of using Chrome
Epocrates good for my job
Bit the bullet and paid for Rockplayer
Sky Map should help when I try out star trails during my holiday later this year
Just spent some time last week messing around with Maverick Lite and Mobile Atlas Creator
Mapdroyd felt rather primitive. But good grief, it takes up a lot of storage space to have high level zoom Google Maps

If I buy a new memory card, do I simply just copy everything over?
How do I go about setting things up?

I bought a new SDcard recently. Copied everything over, and it worked just fine. To the phone, it's as though nothing had been changed, except for the capacity of the card.
 

@Zichar - The free Epocrates is nice. Wished Mims had a free android ap as well

For rooted folks, you can try Geeksofts' Screenshot ap for screen cap. there are couple of other screen cap apps for rooted users as well

Regarding the aps that u bought, they will indicate on the Market that u have paid for them even after a clean wipe on ur phone provided u use the same gmail account that you initially registered. U just need to click install. It might show a transient " authorising " before the install, but the aps will still be reinstalled. Easy. :D

Good to know. Now I'm only using 2gb. Want to upgrade to 16gb at least once htc releases froyo with sense UI.

I searched, there's no simple way to do screen captures is there? My friend showed me the Home+Wake/Sleep button on her iphone
With sense, i leave my home screen empty but for the clock ;-p

I am not sure if there is a screen cap app for unrooted phones, else u can go via sdk tools and do a screen cap via the PC.

Looking forward to a barrage of new android tablets coming Q4. Not much specs on the LePad with rumors of sporting a 1 GHz snapdragon, i thought the German Neofonie WePad was pretty tasty http://techwizardz.blogspot.com/2010/04/wepad-android-tablet-device-features.html

So long as it allows access to the Market, it's good. I remember at one point there was a netbook which could dual boot into Android and Windows 7. The Android bit was so gimped that all it was there for was the speedy boot up and lets you surf the net. No apps other than those that have been pre-installed.
 

w.TV one of the popular chinese VOD ap that is also available on iphone is also available on Android Market. Streams and downloads videos

( I always wonder how this application got pass the strict censors of Apple App Store, but not complaining. If it will be banned in App store, Android market will keep it alive :bsmilie: )

Just bought it yesterday night. Interesting. i need to play with it more to understand it ;)
Buy the code from direct purchase from their website via paypal / google check out will save a few pennies compared to buying from Android Market.

This is exactly what I'm worrying about on those free apps with advertisements and are allowed to access the net. You won't know what other things they will do beside downloading advertisements. I would prefer to pay for the apps and get a peace of mind, but here we're limited only to downloading free apps from the market. ;(

Yea agree that it is too ipadish . Actually i am looking to see what the Lenovo has to offer end of the yr. They have such a huge market in china i am sure the Lepad will make a big impact ard. Meanwhile the wetab/wepad still looks delicious.
