the idea of this whole thing is to gather a few likeminded frens together and shoot together during the photomarathon. call urselves watever, idea is to have fun together! ;p

Can go shoot as a team ah? But but... how to go about different places to complete the theme leh? Cab? Bus? Walk? 4 hours to complete a theme + transport time... seems pretty tight eh...

Timing between assignments is abt 3 hrs.

Usually timing is like 0900 hrs give out first assignment, 1200 hrs return to HQ to download photos, 1300 hrs second assignment 1600 hrs return to download photos .. and so on.

Transport and time-management is crucial for the photo-marathon. If you have your own motor bike, it's the best! Because can weave in and out of traffic, and can park anywhere (well almost anywhere) without queuing for parking lots.

Another thing, the judges would be looking for photos that STAND OUT from the thousands of pictures they are going to see on their Macs on that day. So IIRC the technical quality of the pictures do not really matter in judging. They are looking more on idea and concept for the pictures.

it is not go shoot as a team. wat i meant was u go ard traveling as an informal team lah. u still have to shoot ur own pic. this thread was a spun off from an idea to give ourselves informal teams names. the idea is to go shoot together with frens, and IMO, dats the fun part of the marathon. its not trying to get dat winning pic.

trust me... u got more than enuf time in 4hrs to travel and shoot and come back. the 2nd theme last yr, island life, most teams ended up in east coast. we all travelled there and back in under 4hrs and still managed to squeeze some time to have a bite at macs.

Tried it last year, every assignment 3 hours, sufficient time to move around, avoid driving though, I remember the carpark was very crowded and so was the lift.

No matter the transport, as long as every one enjoys themselves, tiredness will be forgetten one lah...just like last year..i had fun, dunno about you guys.
