Considered the recently launched Pentax K-x? Seems to be giving very good high ISO shots according to various reviews and user reports. And it has video. You might want to pop over to the Pentax discussion area for a look.
i did.. but the lens selection bit not to what i like... where's the 18-200mm with VR/IS ? and 35mm f2 also ?

actually i just wanted ppl to varify what i see is what i think i saw... nothing of canon vs nikon.. its just one sample photo of one model from each manufacturer.
