If iso is a concern, check out the new Sony entry level a500 and a550.

While its true that the a2x0 and a3xp is marginally more noisy than the Canon and nikon at high, the a5x0 is a huge improvement, over taking the Canon and Nikon entry level dslr's noise control.

i am not considering sony as i wanted video in my Dslr (or any still camera that i maybe using) as i hv habit of combining video + photos in my final family video presentation

I will too, when I decide what to buy ... this debate is not to find out who wins all, its for helping me to decide the right one, i ain't high income earner so i need to be more careful

i think Pentax DSLR, like Sony's DSLR, has build in image stabalizer (correct me if im wrong). Thus these DSLRs don need IS in their lens. Any lens that they use automatically becomes an IS lens.

This is a good thing for Sony and Pentax camps, we never had to worry about paying more for IS in the lens.

And before you say "but having stabalizer build into lens sure better than in body what", take a look at this video and determind for yourself.

a comparison of having stabalizer in lens vs having in body, including a final test of having BOTH stabalizer in body and lens on at the same time.

BTW the test was conducted using the olympus E510, so its not a gauge of the pentax and sony DSLRs. Considering that pentax k-x and sony a5x0 came out much later than the E510, there is a possibility that the IS of these newer cameras are better than the E510.

No skill, with the best camera, pictures also look like dung.

Sad.. nowadays expensive camera becoming much like an LV bag. For show only. You carry Pentax or Olympus people laugh at you, say what kind of brand are those and picture can make it or not. LOL.

actually i just wanted ppl to varify what i see is what i think i saw... nothing of canon vs nikon.. its just one sample photo of one model from each manufacturer.

You saw correctly. However, I must add that the image quality also has to do with the type of lens you use. Some may give you a soft wash out look but some are crystal sharp even on the same camera.

actually the technology always changes and the camera brands always leap frog each other
so stick with the brand that you feel comfortable with
