:nono:It is VERY obvious when the camera is doing darkframe subtraction cuz the mirror is up for like 2 times the shutter speed.
Just realised how the NR get activated:
8" ISO=100
4" ISO=>200 :think:
not written anywhere, just have to find out yourself, or you can wait till the Advance manual which, don't know when.:dunno:
Yes, NR activates at 4sec (includes iso400 too); no less. Wonder will Olympus provide a fix to 1sec at all ISO? Even though it lengthens the write time but better than usable picture.
Can't figure out why such obvious problem was not handled when it was build.![]()
Fire a mail to Oly JP and SG to tell them about the problem.
Should be easily fixed via firmware.
u can 4get about it...

Hmm, my 410 doesn't exhibit the phenomena you're facing (just did a quick and dirty test).
And so the problem will be solved without doing anything about it?
I have send email already. Wait and see. Meanwhile just have to work outside the range.
...
no it wont solve...the damn thing hapn since end of Nov .... gave up.
I can imaging how it feels. Fortunately all day shots are not affected; at least still have consolation price. :sweat:
Just to illustrate how bad it is.

Okay so this is my first post and although I have been shooting for years I still consider myself very much an amateur. I just bit the bullet and bought an Olympus E-510, should be delivered by Wednesday.I studied over several cameras in my price range but the 510 just seemed to have the most features and seems like it will be a worthy investment for many years to come. I can't wait to go shooting with it this weekend. So just saying "Hi Ya'll" and please let me know about your experiences with the 510. I hope I made a good choice!
