Might be getting the cyber commander and the receiver soon.

Would recommend PW or the original commander and receiver from Einstein?

Definitely the cyber commander. You can control all functions of the Einstein using the commander and it can be used as a simple light meter too.

PW is only able to control the f-stops of Einstein and not the rest of the settings.

Bro you have the Einstein?

the good thing about the cyber commander is the light meter as well
and direct control over it if all your einstein have the CSXCV
this set up is so much cheaper

but however i think the PW can also works 2 ways ..

with tt1 + mc2 u can control the power of the einstein
via turning the flash exposure compensation

tt1 + ac3 + mc2 - control power of the flash via ac3

the one colourfulfaces talking about - control f-stop is via a software component
user change fstop, while iso / shutter fixed, output of flash varies accordingly to fstop

correct me if i am wrong

Hi may i know how much the shipping here in SG for the vagabonds?

Some write up on the CC.
Cyber Commander™ controls and displays virtually every parameter of a complex studio flash setup of up to 16 light units, including the relative flashpower and modeling lamp brightness of all of the lights, from 1.56 to 6400 Ws per light. For each Paul C. Buff™ light connected, it provides an exact digital readout of the flash wattseconds, t.1 flash duration, color temperature, modeling watts, and the relative flashpower using the European standard numerical 0 to 10 scale (automatically adjusting as changes are made in output). Additionally, it displays the actual camera f-stop (in whole f-stops) of each light (or of all lights or of any particular group of lights) from a built-in high accuracy flashmeter that allows setting ISO and exposure time and exact calibration from your lights to your camera.

Cyber Commander™ allows control of parameters from the camera position, including the status of recycle beepers, slaves, modeling lamps, and even power adjustment. It enables manual bracketing of individual lights or a group of lights in precise 1/10f digital steps, while automatically updating the meter reading and power levels. For setups containing lights with different wattsecond ratings and model lamp wattages, the Cyber Commander™ will adjust proportionally, allowing you to maintain deadly accurate what-you-see-is-what-you-get (WYSIWYG) preview.

Write up on MC2
The PowerMC2 Transceiver Module enables remote power control of Einstein™ flashes using PocketWizard® ControlTL® technology. With a MiniTT1® Transmitter or FlexTT5® Transceiver on your camera and a PowerMC2 plugged into your Einstein™ E640 flash, you can adjust the flash power settings directly from the camera position. Add the AC3 ZoneController® and you can control three different zones of lights in 1/3-stop increments with up to a six-stop range. The system additionally allows use of PocketWizard® features such as HyperSync and Optimized Rear Curtain Sync for maximum control of your lighting

If you are buying from Australia, the shipping will cost about AU$60 to AU$100 depending on the items you are getting.

i am talking about the power tracking
if already have PW TT1 + AC3 is quite worth it to get the MC2

new user like will probably get the Cyber com. and CSXCV

But wouldn't u lose the ability to micro adjust power level at 0.1 increments? Can cyber commander do that?

MC2 cannot micro adjust power level at 0.1 increments. It can do 1/3-stop increments with up to a six-stop range.

All the functions you are doing at the Einstein now can be controlled by the Cyber Commander. Read the above description of the Cyber Commander and the MC2.

Therefore, if you do not have the PW now, you can invest in the cyber commander. However, even if you have the PW now, you still can use the PW to trigger the lights but the cyber commander to adjust settings which i might be doing that if i am getting the CC.
