For me, I have been a regular at MS Color before the advent of digital photography. They give very good service and their pricing is very competitive and consistent. At AP, like what others say, you gotta do your homework first before you drop by. Each employee there will give u a different price. Besides, their shop is always packed and you don't get good customer service.

I am also a regular of MS Color since the 35mm days. I find them honest and friendly too. I will go back there anytime.

txs to all who have given their views on this. ;)
guess i know which shop to buy from

Best of luck to u... N remember buy wat u need not wat u can afford... ;)

how abt the shops at funan ??
can't recall the name off-hand

john 3:16 .......good also. friendly, price wise....... MS better.

The guys at John 3:16 really know their cameras. They are friendly and always helpful. Pricewise they may not be the cheapest in town but is always fair and consistent. Guys are always busy with customers during peak hours and understandably so, you'll need to jostle for attention. Overall good place to hang and exchange notes with like minded enthusiasts.

I have bought several cameras/items from MS Colour over the past few years. Competitive pricing, friendly staff with personal touch, no need to wait to be served most of the time (unlike AP which looks like a fish market).
MS is my official shop for my photography needs...

No experience with MS Color. I got quite good deal with TK foto at Shaw Tower and
very good service with Cathay photo.

I would suggest MSColor instead of AP.

1. I always find that going to AP is scary. Apart from Steven, I think the rest of the salesppl there aren't very sincere, and some even have attitude problems. U need to do ur homework, know the best prices of the stuff u going to get, or get an equote from them before going down. One thing is for sure, they seldom offer you the best prices straightaway. U need to bargain, and bargain, and bargain. Worse still, different salesppl will quote u different prices. But they are still reliable in the sense they dont cheat u like the rest of the camera shops in SLS. Also have 7 day 1-to-1 warranty.

2. John 3:16 saleppl are more friendly and warm to customers. Tend to chit-chat a lot with customers. The indian salesperson also tends to quote a higher price. Overall, their prices are not very attractive, often a tad higher than AP and MSColor. They are sincere, and v reliable as well.

3. Only visited MSCOlor once, but from the reviews here, MSColor seem to be better than AP. At least don't have to face those 'scary' salesppl from AP. MSCOlor offers gd prices too.

Just my opinions.

MScolor.. bought all my cameras there

2. Jon 3:16
They quote high price & yet u said they are sincere :bsmilie:

I have dealt with both MS and AP.

I can tell you that AP consistently, if you have done your homework, charge at least $30-$40 cheaper for most lenses, bodies, etc.

Take for example, the 350D, AP will quote $1520 w/gst. MS $1550 w/gst.

Sorry may I know the full name of MS colour, and where can find their shop
I lost my FZ20 lens cover and need the replacement.
Any one can help ?
