after posting, forum does not reload

Hi admins,

I'm just curious why sometimes when I post a reply, the page reloads with an advertisement on the top left of the screen and nothing else (ie the rest of the screen is blank).
For example, I might click 'Q-Reply' to someone's post, and type in my reply. Following which, I will click 'Post Quick Reply'. This usually works 80% (estimate) of the time, but occasionally I'd get the dreaded ad on the top-left, and nothing happens even after 2 mins.

To get back to the forum, what I do is open up my bookmarks folder and click on my bookmark for Clubsnap Forums. The forum page displays with my recent post shown in the respective subforum.

Am running Firefox 3.63 on a Windows XP system.

Patience Bro. Server is not running at its 100% yet. Some teething problems expected. I'm still waiting for the Search function to return.

had this problem even before the server went down.

Maybe it's some compatibility issue with my browser and CS server.
If that's the case, I'm ok to live with it. Just wanted to know that's all.

Clear all your cache memory and flush out your temp files should do the trick. Try it out and see how it goes. You'll be surprised how much fluff when your use the browser.

tks!
but I've programmed Firefox to clear all temporary files every time I end a session (ie close the browser), which I do many times each day.

Windows XP has plenty of temp files to clear. Firefox only clears part of it. You still got cookies etc.

Suggest you download ccleaner at http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner. You will be amazed how much fluff it manages to clear and clean up your registry as well. In my case, I cleaned out 1GB of temp files and that's after firefox cleared the temp files.

Try it, you got nothing to loose. Best of all, it is highly recommended at PCWorld.

We have installed a new server today, so if you are still facing issues with this, please give us more information so that we can troubleshoot.

Happened to me once so far today

As hotwork77 mentioned, it could be due to my cache overflowing. Will give his suggestion a try first.
