I am just back from Hong Kong and none of the shops I visited (Tin Cheung, Man Shing, Win Shing) have the lens yet. Neither do they know when it will be available.

No. 1/20 to 1/40 is one entire stop. f/1.4 to f/1.2 is only half a stop. So it's more like 1/30.

have you guys read the reviews on the lens? most said that the focusing speed is less efficient than the non af-s version. just wondering if this factor will inadversely affect you guys?

i think it's less than S$700... as some others have already posted it earlier...

it's about 658.921 SGD = 439.00 USD

Don't bang on it.. Nikon not likely to drop price but they may discontinue the older version.

I wouldn't bang on it, less it cracks, but I can bank on the price of 2nd hand non-afs 50 1.4 to drop as those who own it buys the afs version...anyone selling?
