But hey, I can see you still cracking up some awesome shot, be it streets, potrait, landscape and etc. Each and everyone a pleasure to view and what makes it more and I would say different from others are its very 'natural'.

Thanks supmylo for your compliments........Yes!.......m43 is the way forward in the future but they still have quite a way to go with their AF focus/speed and easy access speed dials/buttons like those on the DSLR camera.............definitely not on the E-PL1 and E-PL2 cameras with kit lenses for low light and fast action condition/environment and demanding/challenging shooting ................

Have not tried the latest E-P3 and fast lenses...........Once I get my hands on them will put them thru' the usual pace.......and will report back.

nice pics of the Oktoberfest! Just got my ep-3, can't wait to start shooting....

anyway just to check, is the pen able to survive in -20 to -40 weather? i'm going to harbin in dec, planning to bring the pen along with me.

Yes shooting under such sever cold weather conditions, one have to ensure that equipments/lenses/especially batteries are kept warm and protected in the bag when not in use...........

I've shot with Oly under -10 or more many times before and they always function flawlessly........but I've seen C***n zoom lenses fail in these temp...........

However more often than not it's we human ourselves fail......at these temp.....how to Tahan???? Only the very aficionados photographer will go the distance........and get that shot!

You know.......It's really really tough shooting 'natural' shots up close and personal especially in a foreign land with total stranger/s on the street.........one can never know what's going to happen next???????

Been there, done that and survived to show the pictures............ me legs are getting weak liow cannot always run when in trouble......hehe!





Well..........here's one of the many shots taken under very low light environments and many more shots under these conditions will be posted later for you guys......all taken with the usual slowish and sluggish kit lenses.......

Yes! Oktoberfest is the Wild Wild West of Europe.........And the Germans are the lucky ones!..........they get to do this 3 weeks in a year! (Music, Beers and Pretty Girls Everywhere)

The Swiss are quite fortunate to get only 1 day in a year at their own world renowned Street Parade held yearly in August. (Music, Dance and Sexy Girl Everywhere)........hehe!


It's my first time to Oktoberfest..........didn't know what to expect...........can be very intimidating for a Asian photographer to shoot there ( imagine you're the only Chee nah man in the ocean of thousands and thousands of "Ang Mohs" and they are all Wild and Drunk)............But what motivates me is not the beers............but the Mädchen (German Girl) in their Bavarian tradition cute dress called Dirndl (very pretty) and the man's clothing called Laderhosen (very mancho).


Here's one more for you my friend.........Enjoy!

Hold your horses bro........the Oktoberfest is now officially closed but I think the holy ground is still open (not sure) However one can still enjoy and experience the festive moody at the famed Hof Brauhaus which is opened all year round..........(the usual Beers, Music and...........erhmm Pretzels....only.....hehe......the mädchen you have to wait till next year)


Here's an OOC shot taken at one of the many open-air beer gardens inside the vast Oktoberfest's Carnival ground for you guys........Cheers!
