awesome I will ask for that next time (if the BBB will bite me hard hahaha)

thanks bro

Buy at big consumer stall like Fortress or Broadway. Should haf international warranty.

Here's some pictures from Singapore Karting Competition Round 4 Day 1. I shot in RAW but adjusted the WB and Exposure and use back Camera Profile Vivid. I didn't do any noise reduction or sharpness to give a true representation of the sensor's prowess.

Bro Albertri will b d same when he comes bk from HK in dec. haha. RX100 in HK cheap ya?

certain things are cheap. Batteries and leather case confirm cheap.

The Nex and ALpha batteries going for 70 plus. The leather case even best, without buying the rx100, its selling for $63.

The sony carl zeiss lenses are definitely cheaper, but unfortunately, there was a 30% price increase early this year, if not would have been much cheaper.

Just buy from any stores and make sure there is Hong Kong warranty. It usually a sticker stating Hong Kong warranty on the box. You have to bring the lenses or camera together with the receipt to Sony Service Centre at either Mongkok or Causeway Bay to get the international warranty certificate.

I bought from official sony store leh.. but the guy told me warranty only 15 months. When you register online your warranty status is 2year 3 months?

Got more of the battery for sale?

Yah, you just registered your warranty with MySony and selected the correct Sony shop that you bought from and the backend will do the warranty end date.

Does that Sony Store you bought from has more $19 battery for sale? I don't mind getting another one.

ISO 6400

ISO 6400 1:1 cropped

For original size, please check my A99's Prowess - a set on Flickr

Great pictures so far being able to see the A99 being pushed to ISO 6400. It seems the one that is cropped has lots of background noise yah. Have you tried pushing it above 6400?;)

Nope have not tried it beyond ISO 6400 yet. I was using the auto ISO and it only range from ISO 100 to ISO 6400.

I see. Hope to see you doing a ISO test from 6400 onwards with the same pic but at different ISO RANGE. Want to know if the A99 can handle low light condition!;)

Played a bit of A99 @ Wisma with the attached 28-75 the camera feels heavy this is coming from A77.... but the price is exp 3899.... grip is 399 and new flash 699 this is going to be painful if you buy in SG no package deal also.

Played with it at the Changi Airport a few days ago, $3626, and yesterday again in Yokohama. I am surprised I didn't like the EVF, it's hard to see details in dark areas and the resolution isn't good enough to see facial expressions in the distance. The image through the VF also seems to be smaller than through a full-frame OVF (compared it to Mark III and D800 in store). I could test the AF with the 28-75mm F2.8 only. I hope it's the lens because it was a tad slow for a camera with dedicated DPAF sensor (compared to the EF 24-105mm F4) and the sensitivity wasn't jaw dropping. There was also an issue with the startup time, even after the camera woke up again it took 2 sec or so every time before the AF worked.

You can change that.

What you meant by I can change that? The new additional features in Sony A99 is that they have auto ISO in Manual mode, but the range is between iSO 100 to 6400. I cannot find anywhere under settings to change this range. You know where to change it?

Just check the manual. It can be done. Didn't have the time to go through the manual yet.

To change the automatic adjustment range in [AUTO]
When [AUTO] is selected, press right > on the multi selector, select [ISO AUTO Maximum] or [ISO AUTO Minimum], then select the desired range.

minimum is as low ISO 100 and maximum is as high as ISO 25600.
