You really need A99, dont waste your 24-70mm. If A77 going for a lower price, I might consider after 70-400mm as to have more tele. For me, FF for wide, APSC for tele, huat ah!

Understand that the A99 can turn on "Crop mode" to get 1.5 factor. hmm can the A900 do this?

You own A850 b4, u should know got or not mah. Crop factor on A99 is to get more FPS but resolution will be lesser (i think so.) Whereby A77 is 24MP and it's "Cropped", so, you getting 24MP, nothing less ;p

Just watched this video..Seems like its able to turn lenses to crop mode for extra 1.5 factor. Meaning 70-400 can be switch to 105-600 if need to? Not sure if the resolution will be lower..But heck, even 12MP should be ok..... (at least i dont have to come out another 1k or more to buy another APS-C for the extra reach)

A99 has crop mode at 10mpx. Crop mode on FF is for DT lens or some of us use it to get additional zoom. Sony went on creating smart teleconvertor function to crop the sensor at different factor. This is seems in A77. Clear zoom is another feature where cropping is done but a pixel binning technique (sampling nearby pixels) is used to reconstruct the cropped image back to its original mpx. This is seems in A57.

Yes, it's simply an APS-C crop mode and therefore the resolution will be lower. It gets engaged when you attach a DT lens but you can also enable it while a full-frame lens is attached.
...Of course there isn't an option to switch between 50Hz and 60Hz again. Would have been nice in this price range...
