3 has some advantages, mainly avoiding the light lost of EA4 and can sort of make used of the 399 PDAF.

This is not useful as it basically just decides which adapter to use by SAM/SSM or screw drive motor.
From my experience, even lenses with SSM could struggle to focus with LA-EA3, mainly 70300G and 70400G.
Other lenses like 24ZA 2470ZA can work well with LA-EA3, but the focusing speed is still inferior to LE-EA4.

Thats the reason I want to dump all my A-mount lenses, no point carrying two adapters around for the same system.

haha,...i wanted to change all lenses too! but well the cost is just too much..and i would have to change my backup camera(a99) to a7 series too:sweat:...need to start buying toto liao

might start from changing my KM1635 and samyang 14mm to FE1635 first tho...

btw guys..i downloaded some a7r2 raw file..would like to see how it looks like after my post processing..however both my ps cs6 and lr 4.4 were not able to open it..any idea?also updated my camera raw to 9.1.1 already

click check for update and update lr
 

I recommend capture one express for Sony. It's a free software.
 

Yup... I was told the strap will be available at Oct too.

Sold all my A mounts at big loss.. now only left the 70-400 GII with me..
Just waiting for my La EA3 to arrive.. then I can test it on the A7R2.
Hope it will be Ok... I dont need it to work fast/very well in low light. But I'll love to see it at least working OK in good light. .

GII works better than the first version. Definitely OK in good light.
 

At terminal one now. 383o.xx at the airport.
