Want to ask. Do the eye af works on birds/wildlife as well? Anyone tried??
Also.. Do you find the Apsc crop mode useful? Since it reduced down to 18mp instead of 42mp. Do you use this mode or would you rather shoot at full 42 mp then crop it later. Any differences?

There are many pro using these a7 series camera for serious work though. Why not.

yea the eye AF wont work on animals as it needs to see a Face before focusing on the nearer eye.
the only time i will use apsc crop is when i want a very long range, and most of the scene is empty, i.e. only the apsc crop area is the area of interest.
benefit is that you don't clog up your SD card with huge files, just APSC size files at 18MP.

Hey ricleo, yeap i was just taking some photos of the nephew at the playground today. Let me try to upload some over here.
Jpegs OOC , mostly shot wide open @f1.1. Wanted to try getting used to the thin DOF. Was a real challenge with him running around. Considering it was at f1.1, i was kinda pleased with the results. sharpens considerably at f2 onwards.

Yeap. It's the Voigtlander Nokton 50 f1.1 . Got the Vm to E Close focus adapter as well to do close up shots cutting MFD down to 47cm.

So far the airport electronics hub has no stock of the a7r2 yet. Had a few friends wanting to take advantage of the gst promo but no luck.
