i believe that this is the A700 successor... there's been no news about any new Sony system camera other than the upcoming A7xx. maybe they're going back to OVF. and that'll be good!

all viewfinders look the same from the outside until you put your eye to it :bsmilie:

once you remove the front lens cap and look through the viewfinder (in bright light and don't even need to switch it on..) you'll be able to tell whether it's an EVF or OVF...

or whether your reflex mirror is busted :think:

I normally read up to Operation & Control to check out the gizmos, buttons as well as images it will have of the camera. They are usually the first few websites to do a "thorough" review.

I'll usually skip their test methodology, performance opinions and recommendations.

Though I agree LL review gives a perspective from an Alpha User POV, sometimes they take a few months do conduct one. By then, I might already own one.

IMHO, since Micheal Riechmann of LL did a hands-on on the A900 in Antartica in 2009, seems he'd became some sort of a Sony Alpha fanboy, errrrr....convert :blah:.

It wont be. With translucent mirror, ovf will be too dark and there wont be space to put the pdaf sensors.

It sure to be evf, but probably an updated one.

Bro! Semi transparent bodies! I don't think will be possible... how to control light from hitting the sensor from all over the places?

thats the reason they even have view-finder covers so that even the extra light from the view finder does not disturb the camera's metering
