Hi, bro's

Is there any other site to download the file? As keep getting "too many user, please re-visit again"

Thanks

Thanks for the help. will go back to update. btw can jump from v2 to v4?

Thanks again

good news! i'm gonna update mine when i get home. hope it is as good as the d300 in high iso, since they both use similar sensors. :D

Just updated mine, with ISO NR set to off, you can really tell the difference compared to photos with low NR. Great job Sony!

not sure if this firmware disable NR on both the CMOS sensor & Bionz processor as originally it was a 2 step NR routine

Why not just get the D300 instead? OOps ...................... :flame:

I didn't realise that after firmware upgrade the file numbering is reset to DSC00001.XXX.

And I found on photoclubalpha that after upgrade, take a shot, remove memory card, using PC and rename numbering sequence to the one you desired eg, DSC00001.XXX to DSC03890.XXX and reinsert card and do another test shot.

Sequence should follows. Sorry if this has been explain b4. Newbie to firmware upgrade.

But its not a sony. Ha. Seriously, i just love the handling of the a700 better than the nikon.

Ah, that's more like it! :D

The option to switch off NR is a boon, a lot of details can be retained, and NR can be handled and controlled to the users' liking...

Good on ya Sony!

Updated my A700 to v4 last night and can confirm that iso1600 images are definitely better - no more noise smearing, but fine tighter grain. Better for post-processing and details.

But too busy to do much testing, only one or two comparison shots indoors. DRO+3

Thanks bro Rashkae for the heads up.. :)

Yep, worked like a charm
High ISO is definitely better and more natural. No more blotchy color. Haven't really try out the exposure bracketing.

Good work by Sony! It's really taking care of its' customers.

File for this firmware was taken down by Sony-jp site. For official site, try this:
http://www .photoclubalpha.com/DSCA700v04.zip (w/o space).

Quick! Quick! Download first before it's gone.. even if you're scare to update

Otherwise, you may wait for official release. Don't anyhow download, sekali kena virus :nono:
