A70 Frequent Error Message: CHANGE THE BATTERY PACK

the shortage of parts is probably bullcrap... they won't give a95 lor. if give will give a lousier model or something.

Thanks....I thought it's my computer monitor problem all the while.... So do you think i should bring down to the service centre? I scared later they say there's nothing wrong with your set. Did they say anything about the battery problem? Btw any other service point beside habour front?

Just bring there try ur luck lah... For me anything would be better than my A70 functioning as a card reader.

i bought mine from South Asia Computer in mid 2003.
Quite light-user.

sometimes, i just face "Change the battery pack" after replace fresh recharged batteries. Need to turn on/off a few times.

even now..i dun get the problem liao..
1st time i got tis problem was when i went sepang..after a long long time i din use
2nd time was tis time after i saw tis post..oso abt 1-2 mths neber use after sepang..
but after trying out the quality yesterday..even today..i change batt pack..still operate as normal..
will observe n c how

i bought my a70 @ allan photo @ SLS, 06 march last year.
used it for abt 2500 shots liao.

found i have the battery error msg problem after 3-4 months of usage.
on/off thing.

any one here managed to get Canon to let u trade-in your out of warranty a70 for a a95 for 138 bucks more ??

some one at hardwarezone managed to get it.

If I'm not wrong, I can even remember the price was $506 haha. It was an upgrade from my A40.

balardi heeow... I thought i suay got a lemon A70... so many bros also kana... still, my CCD sensor only occasionally got the 'haf screen' problem... the LCD display flickering is damn bad though. Haven't completely crapped out on me yet so I guess I'll hang on to it until there are clear grounds to go kbkp to Canon SG about it.
