A6000

Great.. cos right before my po, I ordered the glass screen protector from amazon

if u look at the comparison below, the gross size seems to be the same, but the location of the black border is a little different. perhaps if u stick on the glass screen protector for the nex 6 upside down it should fit well

Anyone got a black casing wanna swap with a brown? Mine is brown and I willing to trade with a black. Do let me know!!

Just got it from HM Jurong point at rrp. Gotten a free battery, soft carry case and a 32gb slow class 10 memory card and cleaning kit. Better than nothing as i never pre order it.
Harvey Norman, you mean? I'd wanna head down tomorrow if that's the case.

Just ordered my hotshot cover. Go to Sony service center at wisma to order. $6.40 per piece. Waiting time is 3-5 working days.

I brought the vello glass type. Think no border around the protector, should be easier to stick on

Feel like telling them... erm u all repair inside, just grab any hot shoe and pass me la. lol

And yes you pay first lol.

Collected my a6000.. think the freebies are the same as posted before.

First impressions versus my Nex 7:
- Some might miss the auto level, I don't feel it's a big issue.
- New features take awhile to get used to.. I don't like how the camera tries to auto-crop my pictures for me, thinking it's a portrait.
- The layout of buttons is different, but ok. I do like the new video button though. Less obvious.
- Build quality seems ok, but Nex 7 is still better. Even things like the scroll of the dials seem less premium.
- Hotshoe looks empty without something there.. maybe need to consider buying something to slot there?
- Image quality certainly no issue. Took a few test shots and low light performance seems better than Nex 7 and AF seems slightly more accurate.. for the rest need to test some more.

Now to figure out how to update firmware of all my lenses so I can try out PDAF..

Just got a hands-on accompanying my special someone to buy. Only tried with the kit lens, overall the ergonomics is surprisingly good for me and i feel the AF is quite fast. I managed to also test the sigma 30/2.8 art and damn sold by it! :)

Hmm....couldn't find the option to set PDAF le... anyone here manage to get it?

Hmm is the PDAF only available for the 1650 power zoom lens??

I think I got PDAF.. updated all my previous lenses' firmware. Think it isn't a option you select, and just depends on the lens.
Before I updated, I just got the usual green AF boxes. Now I also see white square boxes around the original target when I shift the camera around.
