Guys

How does this guy fair against Fujifilm XE2 and Olympus OMD-EM10? I tried out the 3 but still can't decide. Haha!

XE-2 price a bit high. EM10 and A6000 I chose A6000 cause I familiar with sony ba, smaller and better handling and apsc =p

Assuming I want to mount A mount lens via la-ea4, is it possible for the camera a6000 to be using its AF n override the la-ea4 pdaf AF?

nope. not possible. A-mount lenses will not be able to AF quickly, purely with on-sensor AF

Maybe trying luck..but in all honesty..he did tell me no more free gifts...They only had limited stocks from Sony.....so I told him I will then go Sony store...he is ok with it..and tone seems to encourage me to do so too...so small matter..

ah now hearing from yr experience with MS, make me worried whether i am entitled to the freebies or nt. But i was third in line to PO on 31 mar..hope no bad surprise on collection day

I test the A6000 and A5000 today. For some reason, the shuttle of A6000 feels weird. It just doesn't have the nice shuttle clicking sound as compared to the rest of the sony model and it seems that the shuttle kind of feels jam. Haha! Don't know how to describe but just don't feel right. Anyone feel the same way?

First of all, it's SHUTTER and not SHUTTLE. The A6000 is too small to house a spacecraft.

And it could be because the electronic front curtain shutter mode is activated. It will sound odd because you only get the rear curtain for a total of one shutter actuation.

Well, I didn't do that setting? Just default setting in the sony shop. Haha!

Cameras in sony style are been raped by people every hrs. You dun know what settings they did. Unless u did a factory reset.

When i went Click! to place the PO, the guy told me no more body-only sets (they claim only 3 sets allocated to them), I have to get the kit set. They did not say I can choose to PO the body-only set from them without the free gifts.

Anyway, hope you get your PO through Sony-style!

Click! i just go in straight and find wanleng ( the short hair chinese lady ). My experience with Click! is she is more knowledgeable and really explain most details. The guys there always gave ma a one line/word answer. lol.

Don need to worry....they are pretty transparent...they would have told u..if no free gifts...doubt they would risk their reputation over this....the gifts are from sony direct anyway....no extra loss to them....

Emount. Current lens for NEX ALL can use.

Free gifts are what make the A6000 so special, esp the leather case and the original extra battery. Sony battery are not cheap.

Oh..so can use nex lenses...but not A mount lens right? Or use with adapter? Yup agreed...the gifts are what make it that tad special....

The A6000 use Emount lens. As long as your lens is a Emount, it will fit. A mount lens need adapter.

Thanks bro...a little confused...was on A65 SLT previously, which I understand they had since discontinued the SLT. Am thinking if shld get the pwp sel501.8 for another 300 odd. (Is this a improved lens or the same lens used for the nex cam) Or just wait and see at bns section...the e mounts lens should be pretty easily available I suppose....

SLT didnt discontinue, there will be a SLT-77II coming soon. You can check the BnS section here and see.
