At last sony did it correctly with additional horse shoe for flash and built in flash. Hope will have more affordable lens

Hi all..if pre order pricing is the same from all shops...I believe most would just po from sony store? Since I assume some retail shops would have restrictions like cash payment etc?

Yesterday went to funan Sony store,I was told that other than the 3 items that shown on the pre order,they are also giving SD card and another case. Is it true?

not true. Non-sony style dealers are able to take credit card for the A6000 PO. Their profit margin is already there given the fixed price of the PO sets.

If you are only getting the camera body or kit set ONLY, there will be no difference getting from Sony-style vs dealers.

If you are getting the PWP lens, you are better off getting from the dealers. Cos as mentioned previously in the thread, the street price of the lens are already lower than the PWP prices. If you know how to bargain, you may even get the lens at below the street price.

out of all 3 PWP, only the 55-210 deal is attractive... almost 50% discount.
The worst deal is the 1670Z...only $100 off and higher than street prices.

I see...so dealers can potentially give a better offer for pwp.....thanks for the info... I just checked with my fav store in AMK...they can still take in po...but no more free gifts already...looks like sony store then...

let me be devil's advocate: If I am unscrupulou dealer, I see the A6000 is so popular, I will take in PO for 10 sets, and the rest I still take PO but tell the customer no more free gifts take it or leave it. Those "loyal" customers will still get from them without the free gifts, and I can sell them the batteries and bodycase for a tidy profit.:angry:

Maybe trying luck..but in all honesty..he did tell me no more free gifts...They only had limited stocks from Sony.....so I told him I will then go Sony store...he is ok with it..and tone seems to encourage me to do so too...so small matter..

yup, there is no way he can reverse on his statement without incurrig your wrath. So his gambit did not go too well..LOL

When i went Click! to place the PO, the guy told me no more body-only sets (they claim only 3 sets allocated to them), I have to get the kit set. They did not say I can choose to PO the body-only set from them without the free gifts.

Anyway, hope you get your PO through Sony-style!

Just thought of another devious stunt: If I am a lousy dealer, I will prob fake 50 sets of PO orders, get the sets and free gifts from sony. Plus, add in all combinations of PWP lenses. Once PO over, resell all the sets, lenses and free gifts.

Lucky for all of us here... I am not in any retail camera business....:bsmilie:

In fact shld be able to po from all Sony stores..I check with the one at marina square..still have stocks. ..last day is 12 or 13 April 14 right...
