yeah when i was looking at the photo (eyes) 1st thing I've notice it not that sharp then saw your post and look at the whole pic and yeah a bit OOF instead of the eyes it was on her hair...

haha thank you well most of the time when we shoot portraits with autofocus and it doesnt focus on the eye, most commonly its focused at the hair. that's what i learnt from my own A500 though.

haha thank you well most of the time when we shoot portraits with autofocus and it doesnt focus on the eye, most commonly its focused at the hair. that's what i learnt from my own A500 though.

when u are working with shallow DOF, and u focus on the eye using center af spot, then u recompose, there's a tenancy of front or back focusing if u shifted (recomposed) upwards or downwards.

for example if u focus on the eye using center AF spot, then u recomposed downwards (which is what most people does actually), u will hv front focus already.
