jus to ot abit , do u guys register your warranty straight away after purchasing or register after a month or two or never register at all ?

Nope, hold on to it first. :)

I think I understand what you mean... the A300... is a rather light camera... hence even with portriat shots... a VG is not really needed unlike the A700 & A900....

Thanks for the tip... :)

Hmmm well.. since the body is light, when the lens is heavy, a grip is useful to balance it out... at least for me :bsmilie:

I am still wondering if i should invest in the xarl zeiss lens since now i have gotten the A350 and the 1870...Please advise

Carl Zeiss you mean? Well, are you in any way unhappy with the sharpness of the pictures you get with the 18-70? The easiest thing to do would be to head to a SonyStyle and ask to test on of the 16-80 CZ lenses in the display case. Take a couple of shots, take some shots with your normal lens in the same place, then compare at home.

I am still thinking if getting the carl zeiss lens, will its enhance the performance of my A350, etc take clearer/sharper pic or spend the money to upgrade to A700.
So its lens or camera?

Another problem i am facing is getting filter etc+2,+4 to take macro shots or better off getting a macro lens instead?
If macro lens, any to recommend or go straight ahead to carl zeiss?
Thanks

Well, the CZ lens will give sharper pictures, but the A700 is a different league to the A350 in overall image quality.

I do suggest a dedicated macro lens, such as the Tamron 90mm or the Minolta/sony 100mm.

Thanks for the advise, i will stick to the A350 cos i am addicated to the live view.
So i conclude i shld spend the money on lens upgrade instead.
but i am confuse as to what lens, 3rd party, sony lens to get....and dont know if can fits my sony a350 or not.
apologies as i am still a beginner who is trying to explore this sony thingy.

They will all fit the A350, so long as they are made for the Sony or Minolta Autofocus (AF) mount. The Tamron 90mm is quite easy to find. Try asking at MS Color.

Same question as the title of this post... should get a A300 or A350..... both have live view... and A300 have better noise control & fps than A350.....

Now i am doubting which lens to get?
I am thinking if its worth to invest in a good lens or buy 3rd party.
Budget is not a problem, but i would like to get lens worthy for wat i am paying for.
Thanks

If you haven't known, http://www.dyxum.com/ is a good sony/km lens database to check out. Looking for a new lens? You can check out "legendaries" like the beercan 70-210 f4 or the 50 f1.7. If you don't want 2nd hand stuff then can check out the Sony 16-105 or the CZ 16-80.
