That's exactly the point of the A330... and when you're ready for more, there's the A500 series and the A800 series. :)

Hi guys,

i just got my A330 last week.

noticed that sometimes i cannot set the f (aperture) to 3.5 or 4 in - A mode or M mode,
it will stay at 5 or 5.6 not allowing me to go lower.

i using the kit lens provided 3.5-5.6/ 18-55

is this normal??

It's normal. F3.5 is available @ 18mm and usable largest aperture will become smaller as you zoom.

So when you reach 55mm the largest aperture is F5.6.

oh ok. thanks for the info.
later go try :bsmilie:

I've just bought a A350 from my friend too... Wah... Really nice shots... Looks like I am still far far away from you guys.... :embrass:

Hi! I would like to ask what are the difference betwen an A330 and a230.
cause i know that a330 has a live view, im not particular on the live view side...
was thinking of getting either a230 or a330 since there is student promotion now:)

The A230 doesn't have live view and A330 has - otherwise, they are almost identical. :)

can any 1 recommend a reliable 3rd party battery for moi a330?
thanks in advance :D

I have used some 3rd party batteries on my previous camera and they really do not come close to the original in terms of performance.

I would suggest to just get the original for a peace of mind. It's not that expensive afterall. If you had alreday spend so much on your camera body would you want to save a few dollars and risk damaging your cam?

I hv to disagree on this part.

I hv a 3rd party battery and while its not as good as the original, it does hold around 80% of an original battery's capacity.

For the price of $10 (ebay), i'll say its good to buy one as a backup.

Yes, I know that you are very happy with the 3rd party batteries which you have gotten. But based on my previous experience, don't think I will go for any anytime soon. The quality may have improved but i'm still sceptical. Hopefully the 3rd party battery's able to hold the charge as long as the originals and there wouldn't be any leakages.

any 1 tried phottix batteries?
r there phottix batteries for a330?
