u sure u going Perth / Melbourne with your budget?

its no joke taking budget airline for 7 hours plus flight to australia. You need at least economy flight for such long flights. cos either u are bored to death without the in flight entertainment or the uncomfortable seat makes u sick.

an economy flight already take up nearly half your budget. and its not cheap to stay in hotels in australia... each night sets u back at least AUD 80 for minimal comfort. The food there also cost you at least AUD 8 per meal. You haven include the cost of rental of bike for your whole trip. Its only doable if you going for 3-4 days.

I think your budget needs to be at least $3K if you are going australia.

Definitely Melbourne then. 4/5 days is just right. You'll love it. :bsmilie:

i find 4/5 days too short... my last trip (2nd) i spent 10 days... still find it short. Melbourne city itself you just need 1 day. The good sights (landscape) is outside Melbourne... like Great Ocean Road, Mornington, Philip Island, Yarra Valley... which is hours (min 2 hours) apart Melbourne City. I will say at least 8 days to be sufficient.

:bsmilie: 4 to 5 days hmmm...

considering the fact that i've not been to australia for almost 20 years... i wonder how much the place has changed

wayyyyy out of budget. you didn't see the budget? :bsmilie:

It's cheap to travel to Africa.

No need hotel. At night can climb on top of a tall tree to sleep and take bath in a river with hippo.

There is so many wildlife there to turn into food. Can have impala meat satay and rhino soup everyday leh. :)

BYOP: bring your own pot. :bsmilie: :bsmilie:
