i dunno whats the max number of flashes 5d or 7d can trigger.. but to answer ur question.. yes.. my 5d can trigger both my 5600 and 3600 together.

Never tried with the 5D but I had used my Dynax 5 (film) to trigger the built in flash, 3600HSD and 5600HSD together.

think no limit.

since its on 1 channel only, on D7 (film) can trigger 4 channel, on D7D only 1 channel.

no limit, as long as the accessory flashes can detect the pulse fired.

I use 3x 5600hs for studio work with 7D. I am sure it can trigger more units.... So I think there is no limit.
