I was a Ex Canon 10D DSLR user and got mixed up with the pros and cons of both camera system from Nikon & Canon mount. As I wanted to maximise my investment so i took a painful system switch.
But after many comparisons, I ended up using Olympus E-1 due to:
1. Lighter weight factor,
2. cheaper in general to cover 28-400mm in just 2 lens with ED element,
3. Zuiko Lens has less headache in choosing lens as there are limited choices
but atleast Lens range cover almost everythings.
4. E-1 Body and Lens are all weather seal and dust free on CCD too.
5. Wanted Nikon Prosumer DSLR but D100 & S2Pro just not what i want in spec,
6. Canon 1.6x lost quite a lot on wide angle on all their present lenses.
Both Nikon or Canon got pros and cons. See which one serve more of ur needs than decide.
Personally I will opt to go Nikon mount because,
1. Nikon already fixing their sensor size with 1.5x FLM. and made 2 Super wide Mid-tele zoom lens(e.g. 18-70mm DX lens). Ignore this line . if you enjoy mounting / unmounting lens all the time.
Canon can only win my heart back if it come out with DX lens that cover 28-100mm(in 10D) lens on EF mount not EF-S mount.
Just my newbie 2 cents thought. :embrass:
