Ewww... The picture have changed entirely from a not-so-bad shot of "trees in the night, with a moon incidentally hanging on the top left of the frame" to an ugly shot of "cliche night scene when you look up from the roadside tree of singapore at the not so beautiful, double concentric circular moon".

I totally dislike the cropped effect, since the subject have totally change, from trees that were actually quite well taken, to the moon, which is just sooooo fake! I also don't like the perspective of trees without the stem. The stems are the best part of trees, NOT the crown!!

I'm not even trying to rate this, for words that's not acceptable in this family-rated forum will definitely get appear in the ratings.

Mr Cheat.. It's -

"My grandmother could shoot this better with her toes and her eyes closed."

/me scribble down the most up to date version of the ratings

vampy said:
Yes yes.. "Untitled" just goes to show my lack of imagination when it comes to titles.. Dun noe how to name it, therefore name it nothing..

Still I feel that both you and khairi are disrespecting my idol-photographer by putting things "untitled #something"... purposedly do it to spite me right?
That's it... gonna find new ratings to poke fun at you! :sticktong

And I PROTEST PROTEST PROTEST!!! My human shots are betta! But I still suck ;)

Cos my grandma can do betta.

With her toes and eyes closed. Remember?

:bsmilie:

My eyes are telling me different things... Your portraitures are still not up to par as compared to your abstract, aside from how good your grandmother is...

vampy said:
Appreciate your critic as always.. But dude.. Dun have to look so deep when it ain't meant to be deep lah.. Sometimes it's just meant to be visual candies.. Purely graphic and nothing more..

For the deep ones.. Still waitin for Khairi and u.. Our conceptual pieces remember? And then you can rate me again.. keh keh keh keh

The day that I don't look deep, is the day that I become indifferent to the world. It's just me, appreciate or not. Ignore me if you want. But I bet you can't! ;p

Err... the piece how huh? The logistics how? No news? No action?
Anyway, I will abs0lutely need to finish up my studies and find a j0b first, before anything can take place hor... so try me after Au6us7.

These comin from a tree lover.. Thanks for the insights.. Never thought of it that way.. So now that u've mentioned it..

Yeah.. Tis is like a boy band doing a cover version of a rock song..

But I must say, sometimes I do like the crown more than the stems or trunk.. It's like askin which part of a woman u like more.. The ass or the breasts - Debatable.

As for myself.. Can't decide which I prefer.. The original or square crop.. Cos in the square crop, my eyes are concentrating more on the graphics aspects.. And the flow of the stems.. Which I do like too..

So.... *ponder*

<Still I feel that both you and khairi are disrespecting my idol-photographer by putting things "untitled #something"... purposedly do it to spite me right? That's it... gonna find new ratings to poke fun at you! :sticktong >

And I thought I was the title-idiot who came up with the untitled thingy through sheer brilliance.. Damn! So much for originality..

:sticktong

Yes yes.. Do come up with new ratings cos my grandma hates bein in the limelight so much.. There's still grandpa waitin in the shadows.. keh keh keh keh

<My eyes are telling me different things... Your portraitures are still not up to par as compared to your abstract, aside from how good your grandmother is... >

Are u tryin for my grandma? Will u two just get a room? :bsmilie:

Jokes aside.. Point sincerely taken.. Like I've said to Khairi.. Will bear that in mind the next time I'm doin human shots again.. It's good advice I feel.. *smiles*

<The day that I don't look deep, is the day that I become indifferent to the world. It's just me, appreciate or not. Ignore me if you want. But I bet you can't! ;p >

U noe I've always appreciated the truth.. Through ur eyes and theirs.. And I've told u tis.. Never to lose that ability to speak out.. Cos ure the only idiot who'd tell me I suck *chuckles*

So when I do get to where I wan to go, u'd be among the braves ones who put me there.. Thank you my friend! (Please note that I'd still continue rebutting.. Visual candy means visual candy loh! Eyes shiok can already loh! muahahahahahahah!!)

<Err... the piece how huh? The logistics how? No news? No action? Anyway, I will abs0lutely need to finish up my studies and find a j0b first, before anything can take place hor... so try me after Au6us7.>

And I need to save me some cash first before we embark on it.. Soon soon.. I'd let u noe ;)

A lot of those so-called rock songs are better-off sang by boy band lor! Even Dream Theater have a mostly gay album called "Fallin into Infinity"... :bsmilie:

Hmm... but in this case, while the breast may give some kind of curvature, it's nothing to write home about. Adding the ass to an average looking breast would give it more credit lor... the ass in itself is not that fantastic too, mind you! :sticktong

All my attention went to the double concentric circle that resembles a moon (or maybe an UFO?) to even notice the branching patterns. Anyway, it's just me... I don't exactly like to observe the specific details of branches.

/me start cold joke

Go where? Centre of the Earth? Last I heard, you need to spend billions and billions of dollars to drill to the core lor! Or maybe you can just drop down the smoking volcano on Java. Think that's the faster way! Muahhaha~!

/me end cold joke

You are one of the rare people I'd come across who's willing to listen to things that they don't really wanna listen lor. Most people simply treat un-appetizing opinions as bull$hit, and come out with even shittier excuses. I still can't get over how one of the PUBLIC transport firm in SG responded to my suggestion/complaint, saying that their engineers advise to save their PLASMA screen, than to cater to the CONVENIENCE of the commuters...

Anyway, I know you can take it, that's why I bother to take your picture apart lor! You think I'd got nothing better to do is it? :sticktong

Save money huh... hmm...
And I was thinking of having a graduation/ shopping tour... ...

I find the colour scheme very intriguing. I mean, it's not totally red, nor is it yellow. It doesn't convey a strong feeling of anything by the colour itself... which is really really intriguing. Just like black is actually one of the most interesting colorimetric element (black should not be a colour!), the colour scheme seems to have so sophistication. What does it mean, I really don't know... but I think this scheme could definitely be used in future for BETTER photographs! ;p

The photogaph hor... is a blerdy snap-shot. It conveys itself as a snap-shot. It doesn't convey your title of "ESCAPE", and it doesn't have any subject, just dead space build on dead space. Dead space if used correctly and cleverly will make an average picture look gorgeous. Dead space used incorrectly will just result in mediocrity, just like your shot.

Dead space pwn you!!!1!!11!!!!!!1!!

Waiting II

WaitingII.jpg

Why your waiting I and waiting II so different one? Different series with an coincidental theme?

Anyway, I think this is a nice shot. I mean, the only things I see wrong with the picture are minute minute things, e.g. the second outerline of the knee and calf, the crop and the sharpness (uneven sharpness or blurness around each object... just irritating, but not critical).

What I do like about the shot is mainly how you'd edited the shot. The overall feel is rather old, so much so that if the model were wearing something like a cheong-sam that is ageless, rather than the spag dress in the picture (which is a fashion trend that's pretty recent, from late 90s onwards at least), you could *smoke* people into believing that the picture is a picture of your great grandmother when she's young! Okay, am exaggerating on that... but old is on the whole good for your intention at least. I mean, what's more appropriate than a statement that someone has been waiting for a very very long time?

Tempted to read more into the picture, but have to adjourn from this... need to rush my presentation out.
