Even though I have spent quite a few K on my Canon system, I still retain my 828. It's still great for times that you do not want to lug all the gear along.

Burst shot is pathetic on F828. Once a burst is made, it takes up to 14 seconds to flush the images to the memory card before you can take another shot.

I usually take consecutive normal shots after another. Although I need to wait for the image to be recorded then re-press the shutter to refocus, the lag is still shorter than after I shoot the burst. And the response is considered one of the fastest in the prosumer range.

Many digital cameras now have very good burst rates. I'm currently using a compact Ixus 30 which could take ~3fps till the card fills.

now i use my F828 for my 'complaints' hehehe... cos i can't lug a DSLR to my machine, den take a macro shot of the damage area can i? den can my DSLR do video? nah... F828 can do a low res video with sound recording to show exactly whats wrong with machine... macro stills & video direct to mpg... can my DSLR take a view at a hard to reach places? my F828 can change angle to see whats wrong and i can still see what i wan in focus... wat more can i complain?

Agree. Canon already has good-performing burst modes for 2-3 years. Sony seems to lag in that aspect.
