A different kind of portrait on a rangefinder

Now is a gd time to pick a m6...tonnes of m6 selling everywhere..u got a lot of choice to pick from

Or a Konica Hexar RF. I just got mine and it works flawlessly with my 28mm Summicron and of cos the 50mm Hexanon. Managed to finish two rolls of Fuji Superia and Kodak Elitechrome last week:

Kodak Elitechrome 100:

Fuji Superia 200:

If I had more time for photography, I think I would have finished 10 rolls easily in 1 week. haha :D

Anyway, stopping my diarrhea of the mouth now and fast forwarding to the afternoon session of that same day. The morning session got me so excited about the camera that I just had to take some pics of one of my favorite subjects... guitars!

So here are a couple of my guitars! They're scarred from years of playing in and out of bars, but they're still beautiful to my eyes.

This is a Johan Gustavsson Bluesmaster

Great stuffs n welcome to the slippery slope. Love the Gust! Care to share more? Pm me.

Thanks man :)

Tell me what you want to know! :) Do you play too??

@BBB: lovely thread with tons of great portraits.. love your guitars! though i dont have a single musical cell in my body.. just magical!

And ditto on the M6, if you want to get analogue poison... tons of choices with great pricing all round..

Music x Photog = Bess !!!

Thanks for the appreciation dash!! :) I was successful if I was able to get non guitarists interested in my guitars!

On the portraits, all credit IMHO really goes to the Leica. It really is excellent in capture mid tones and gradients of light if you ask me... My job as the photographer is just to find the subtle light and find the right angle for my subject and the camera takes care of the rest... I love it so much I'm scared to try film LOL :)

Welcome bro,

Luv ur pics of the guitars. Enjoy ur setup for now and avoid film coz it'll open up another can of worms!
Try a m6 + 35 lux pre-asph and a roll of tri-x 400 :) and perhaps you'll put the m9 down for a while! Like what others said, film is irreplacable, the feel it gives is totally different from digital

So avoid the 6 for now and enjoy the 9.

Aaaargh how do you expect me to avoid it now with a statement like that LO :D
