A China Affair

I like #14

Thanks for visiting this thread!

You got the DRUM and Bell Towers mixed up. This is actually the Bell Tower (at the roundabout). The DRUM Tower (which was shown as CLOCK Tower in your other photo) is located nearer to the Muslim quarters.

Nice pics... hope u didn't miss the Terracotta warriors there.

Hihi, thanks for the corrections! I've mixed them up a big time
I did visit the Terracotta warriors. Pictures will be coming up soon!

I love your street shots, they portray the bustling city very aptly.

Thanks! I love the street shots too!

Here are more shots from the City Wall for you guys:

Hi tarzanboy, thanks for your kind words! I visited Beijing in Dec'09 and we went to the forbidden city and mutianyu great wall on weekdays, hence not much crowd. We hired a limousine service to bring the 3 of us to and fro mutianyu great wall from beijing, and if I recall correctly, we paid around RMB1000 for the whole-day service. Mutianyu is less commercialised and the section of great wall is quite well preserved. And because it is about 1-hour away from Beijing by car, it is therefore less visited by tourists compared to badaling. Hence it is much better for photographers! :)
