A China Affair

We had some quick shopping at Beijing's Wangfujing shopping street one of the nights. Although the shopping malls here are gigantic and the walking streets very wide, but for a man like me, the shopping experience was not very difference from Orchard Road :bsmilie: I only took a few shots here as the temperature at night was freezingly cold (near-zero)...

#97. This is a famous restaurant on 'Gui Jie' (簋街, sounds like 'ghost street')...
The restaurant sets in a squarish 'hutong' style compound with elaborate decors. It serves great traditional Beijing dishes, with the famous Beijing Duck being most popular. It also provides variety shows, e.g. magics, acrobatics, singing and the traditional 'changing faces' show, to entertain its customers. We had great experience dining here!

I love your Great Wall series! Very nice tones

<< Bird Nest >>
It was not in our itinerary to visit the famous Olympic Stadium. However we managed to squeeze some time for a quick visit after our Great Wall trip, just before our scheduled dinner. The visit was extremely short though due to the chilly wind and the near-zero temperature.

#101. This shot was taken from the car when our driver was circling the parameter of the gigantic stadium compound trying to search for a car park.
Personally, I like this photo a lot as it is a rather special way to portrait the unique structure behind the moving trees and fences ;p

Hi DinoSG, I used a D700 & 28-105mm lens for these night shots, and nope, no tripod. You may check the exif for settings. Cheers! :)
