That would be the Vpost USA service I mentioned. It works, it's very slow and it can become very expensive. You won't know the real price until the package reaches their US address. Then they will look at the package size & weight, then quote you.

I ended up paying 6 kg worth for a 1 kg item. The shipping was more then double the value of the item. When I asked them to explain. I got a cold reply that made no sense to me whatsoever.

The worse part. The item is already at Vpost's US address. If you dispute the final shipping price, they will return the item. You end up losing even more money and time. It feels like being taken hostage.

I spit at their service. Unless you like surprises. You've been warned.

Its a recommended replacement lenses to Sony's. There is B300 and Olympus TCON-14 and TCON-17. They are suppose to be lighter, cheaper. Recommended in DPreview STF. They come in 1.45 and 1.7x. Check them out.

Strangely enough, Sony online called me today...as I enquired about the remote commander some weeks ago and that they have no stock. So they called to check if I've been to the authorised dealers they told me about. I then took this opportunity to ask them about the Close Up Lens. They told me the following dealers would have them:

1) Louis Photo @ New Park hotel (if I'm not mistaken)
2) #B1-08 of Lucky Plaza

Have yet to check out the stores.

Just wondering, how are u all going to mount/combine the macro lens on the tele lens? Is there thread(head side) on the Sony tele lens(regardless silver/black type)?

Currently i am using Olympus Tcon-17. Really hope to do the above experiment to capture those creepy crawllers. I neither see nor feel the essential thread on my Tcon-17 for macro lens mounting...wonder how to hook them up together???

If there is a guide to do it, may think of getting the macro lens too via 2nd hand. (cheaper option: Hoya +3/+4 close up lens)

i think they mounted the close up lens den the tele lens, cos the closeup lens is like a filter. & we are looking at the sony one, which only comes with a 58mm thread. not sure if you can find a 67 or larger thread size closeup filter & also, the quality of the pic would be better with closeup on the front end.
