anyone got the canon 2x TC? I went to cathy and ask, the uncle told me the canon's TC can only be used on the L lenses and not on the non-L lenses, while the 3rd party TC for canon mount can be used on any kind of canon EF lenses L or non-L...

Yes due to the front element sticking out .. it can only be used on a few lenses.

guess i have to use the 3rd party one for my cheap 75-300 lens then...
thinking next time go zoo can get a more zoom in shot ma.. a lot of the animals all hide far far away... >.<
:think: Please don't try and don't bother ... you'll worsen the quality even more.
Try to get either a 300 prime for that purpose... of just get a better lens... with better reach/

The quality will get worst if the way you shoot with it is as if you are using just a zoom/prime lens
Fortunately there are ways to overcome this issue and yet can product nice cool photos but i can assure you that it is not an easy tasks as it is a real test to your skills and knowledge .
If you want to try , let me know so i can pass you a TC2x to test for few weeks. I will also share with you some points on how to handle such combination.
