ha ha. i take cab, bring my camera, bring trolley, shoot pro in action then use the trolley to bring 1200 home.

Wah the Pro has spoken!!!I had shoot using TC 2x with 100-400 before.
The quality will get worst if the way you shoot with it is as if you are using just a zoom/prime lens
Fortunately there are ways to overcome this issue and yet can product nice cool photos but i can assure you that it is not an easy tasks as it is a real test to your skills and knowledge .
If you want to try , let me know so i can pass you a TC2x to test for few weeks. I will also share with you some points on how to handle such combination.
