intel will constantly be pushing the envelope. when quad cores are out then you will say intel pushing octo-core.

dual dual cores is already plenty fast. mind you macs dun obsolete as fast as wintel pc. my 3 yr+ dual 1.42ghz g4 is still very very usable...even more so than my office 2.6ghz P4.

I find a number of you quite supporting for the MAC...but dun u guys find it quite un-user friendly, on top of that any inconvenience in opening spreadsheets and word documents??

huh?? un-user friendly? where did you get that from? its so user friendly that my daughter learnt to use it on her own when she was 2 :bsmilie:

there is microsoft office for mac you know...as long as no wintel specific macros, you should not have much compatibility issues.

actually most mac users buy the bare minimum from apple. additional ram, hdd, etc get from SLS cheaper
