sk1968...post yr animation leh. I am doing it for the 1st time. Dunno correct not?
Testing my memory ah. You in front and Betty behind. What's the prize?who was sitting in front of you ? and who was behind you ? :bsmilie:
The surface area of the oar has to be 0.10m2 and hitting the waves at a speed of 35m/s to send shock waves frequency of 1,500 hz, so as to send shivers to the spine of the fish and giving them heart attack and failure of the liver. The dead fish will arise to the water at a calculated time of 0.5 hr there after. Ya, actually catching fish is quite simple if you know the science of it.
Its a sunset shot. Its more "divine" than 4/3. Thanks again.divinemoment - your "Here's the Intha fishermen"..:thumbsup: the color tone (sunset/sunrise feel) and the moment of capture is great.. I see what a 4/3 camera can do.. (p.s. I know what you mean about the white & black camp... LOL.. I'm on the dark side)..

Edit: Now I think I know why you ask this question. Its a ride in the evening, not the morning chilly ride. Got mixed up but not the sitting. Still got prize?

Can't challenge a scientific design off-ci-fer here lah. At least anyhow gasak also half correct what.ok, the surface area of the oar may have 0.1m2 but the speed definitely fell short of 35m/s. btw, u bs right ? :bsmilie::bsmilie: how would a shock wave frequency of 1,500 hz kill the fish ? something in excess of 20G may, i suppose :dunno:
found something on the web on dynamite fishing...."Underwater shock waves produced by the explosion stun the fish and cause their swim bladders to rupture. This rupturing causes an abrupt loss of buoyancy; a small number of fish float to the surface, but most sink to the sea floor. " so if hitting the water hard is another form of poor-man's dynamite fishing, they really got to try very hard...haha

So you better tell these Ah Pei they are wasting their time since its hard (actually impossible) to produce 20G. Sound to me a MRT civil defense bomb shelter that is designed to take 20G in most of the shelters.
i also don't know, reallyi just thought you know something mah

Day 5 - Inle Lake: Nga Phe Kyaung Jumping Cat Monastery
We next 'cruised' to this lake side monastery.
Another one of my many print-outs in my handphone:Nga Phe Kyaung Jumping Cat Monastery is a Buddhist monastery by the banks of Inle Lake in Myanmar. Also written as Nga Hpe Chaung, this attractive wooden monastery built on stilts over Inle Lake at the end of the 1850s.limwhow #221
Nga Phe Kyaung has become a tourist attraction in Myanmar for its jumping cats. To while away time in the monastery, the monks of Nga Phe Kyaung have taught a few of the many cats living with them to jump through hoops. This has provided some entertainment and made Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery an unlikely tourist attraction. Apart from that, visitors may admire the beautiful architecture and picturesque setting in which the monastery was built.
Just a record shot of this monastery...

And another record shot of a bunch of very enthusiastic shooters waiting waiting waiting and waiting...
... eagerly anticipating the beginning of the Jumping Cat routine...

limwhow #223
By the time we finished with the Jumping Cat monastery, it was almost 5pm.
Melvin said:"OK Ladies and Gentlemen, we are going to fast boat to somewhere in the lake with the setting sun in the background. So we tried.
Each boat has five of you shooters in it. And you have full control of your boat. Instruct your rower to position yourselves in whatever good position to shoot any of the many Intha Rowers on the lake..."
This is just a record shot. No where near the perfect shot by Gapman, but it is the best that I could muster.

I quote from wikipedia..."Human tolerances depend on the magnitude of the g-force, the length of time it is applied, the direction it acts, the location of application, and the posture of the body.
The human body is flexible and deformable, particularly the softer tissues. A hard slap on the face may briefly impose hundreds of g locally but not produce any real damage; a constant 16 g for a minute, however, may be deadly. When vibration is experienced, relatively low peak g levels can be severely damaging if they are at the resonance frequency of organs and connective tissues."
When we were at the Jumping Cat Monastery, after checking that my lens and ISO couldn't cope with the low light level in the monastery itself, i wandered off to the back of the monastery and saw this...just for record...the place would have been nicer if the time was later with softer sunset lighting...but i like the peace and emptiness here...

Your front cover is getting better and better. And your fonts and colours are quite appropriately chosen. Good job. Post more pse. Some ad agency may be eyeing on this thread.
