This 2 I like alot .. beautifully capture :thumbsup::heart:
Why, thank you LowLights!
When you say a lot you really mean a lot one.
"Muack to LowLights!" says the young-looking-but-actually-not-so-too-young Dar.

Very nice captures :)
Why, thank you too, SK1968.
The one on top with the young monk in red robe, I found the old monk in the background a little too distracting.
So I did what you did - 1 hand 2 legs and DHL lor... Hahaha...

Nice angle and lighting
And certainly, thank you very much too, Divinemoment.
I remember it was myself and cyapwoon who were both standing there patiently patiently patiently patiently for the smoke to part...
... so that her face can be revealed and so that we can quickly snap the picture.
Hmmm... wondering how cyapwoon's picture turned out from a slightly different angle he had...

@cyapwoon, all your pictures are very clever shot and well executed...
I'm loving everyone of it.:thumbsup::heart:

Piangz!!! Gosh u guys are fast & furious...i am still editing Bagan photos...you all are at Mandalay already...the only way to catch up is to camp here 24 x 7 lor...

Sharing some portraitures taken in Bagan

To add further to what Lowlight has said and I was also one of those trying so hard to be purist in the film era. If I may add my 10 kyat:

"Post processing is very important in the digital age and anyone denying this and not able to edit effectively and creatively are deluding themselves and not keeping up with the times. Digital photography has given us a new paradigm from capture to process to output. It's no longer about capturing the "perfect" image. That's rare and you waste a whole lot of time aiming for that elusive goal. It's old, dated thinking."

A bit strongly worded but just trying to kick start you. Ha ha. And don't regret later, you will get addicted.

Yes strong words .. but true :thumbsup:

Many of us is like you .. initially .. but the sad true is that no matter how good your skill is in Camera .. the camera is unable to capture what our eye truly see.. so PS is a way to compliment what we saw .. to bring out it actual beauty.

So let's take Post-Processing an integrated part of whole photography .. to present the best for the viewers.

Just my 2 cents

Cheers

i can't agree more :)

LowLights, I like how you presented your two-cents case. Simple. But to the point. And something I can totally relate to. Thanks!

Divinemoment, thanks for the kick! :bsmilie: I needed it. I've seen how PP can really help with making my shots better and I am now, a convert! Yeah :thumbsup:

While waiting for the rest to catch up a little bit and for the others to move forward to Sagaing Hill,
I post a lousy montage.
Nothing much. Just record shots to merely increase my post count only ... hahaha...!

You must be one of those who ran all the way (abt 200 metres) to take the picture. Good setting showing the name of the temple.

Thanks. Only 7 pages to catch up after been away for 10 hrs. Half way thru 2nd thread (and not even at U Bein or Inle !!).

chempaka #40 - Mahagandanyon Temple

He is the only monk who have smiled for all my monk-shots and what a hearty one.

Good shot. You can see that he is really happy.
