The pluses are relative to individual's needs. Some people would 'die' for these specs and others would have no need for them. The rumoured specs are just starting to emerge and may change over time:

1. 30% more MP's - 24 mp
2. Higher FPS - 10
3. Digic 5
4. Better ergonomics.

Just have to wait and see what is new in the 7D replacement lor.

What I'll like to see with the 7D mkII:

1) Improved AF tracking/speed performance in low light sports

2) Better ISO performance

3) Battery grip with a joy stick and with better ergonomics

4) Dual card slots

5) Set button that doesn't spin round and round :bsmilie:

These are just the main gripes I have when using the 7D. Otherwise an excellent sports camera!

Hi guys, it has been so many years since I followed Canon's development religiously.

Just to check if the rumor is now saying 7D MKII is launching around Feb '13 and should cost in the lower $2k range? Got to plan for my purchases....

might be a mix of 6d and 7d
i don't think the price will be a low $2k range, most probabaly will be $2k-$2.3k (slightly below 6d only)

I paid $2700 for my 7D1 in Singapore. Hopefully the price won't be any higher than that.

woah there are so many people dumping 7D in the BnS now..... kinda sad why body can't fetch higher resale value. Good cam body sometimes can cost as cheap as a prosumer model.
