7-14 for travel or 11-22 is good enough?

All not launched yet. but the 14-150mm F3.5-5.6 OIS give the reach as well as the stability. So for older 4/3 systems, it may be a bigger deal. Then on my travels only 2 lens would be sufficient 11-22 and this 14-150...add a light weight EC20 = WOW. No need tele lens for birding and beach!!!!;p
yeah, I am waiting for it too, need to decide between 14-150mm F3.5-5.6 OIS or the 35-100mm F2.0...

14-150 means I can leave the 14-54 and 40-150 at home or up for sale.

35-100...difficult to make a decision which to leave and which to take.

Not sure the EC20 would work with the 14-150 at 150/5.6...might be too dim for the AF to work and last I tested, OIS in the 14-50 didn't work well with the 1.4x teleconverter.

Remember that the camera actually focuses while the lens is wide open, and it doesn't close down until you press the shutter release.

I was playing with the DOF preview with my 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6, and I was surprised that even set to f/3.5 in aperture mode the aperture of the lens closes a bit (you can both hear the aperture as well as see it close down when you hit the DOF preview button), so it's possible the lens is actually open to somewhere between f/2.8 and f/3.2...it's a shame it has to close down to f/3.5 (but then again maybe being a kit lens the images just weren't sharp enough at the larger opening).

Focus on my E-330 works fine with my Sigma 55-200 and EC14 at all f range.

I will pick 35-100 over 14-150 OIS any day!!

I wonder which would be more :dunno:

Of course only when wallet allow.50-200 over 14-150,fair??All in one lens is very over rate(Look at 18-200 VR).

There are just too many things to look at over such a long range. I wonder is Leica can really pull it off.
