Anyway, I am just playing around. and I think the ISO control.. to have to depress the button and then scroll the top simultaneously is a chore.. you can't really look into the viewfinder when you do that. It'd have been good if there is a ISO priority option too like Tv and Av.

Sorry to veer off-course here. What's the best free software for raw file processing? I read around in the posts.. downloaded Gimp but it couldn't take .CR file.

Use DPP then export and open in GIMP.

lightroom 2.6 and photoshop cs4 can read them raw files... i usually use lightroom for workfloow

*******s at adobe dont give camera raw for cs3 that can read 5dII raw files forced me to upgrade 0_0 haha

In my opinion, Capture One Pro (C1pro) is fantastic. I'm very anal about colors, and it gives me the most accurate colors... And when I'm working with important details in highlights and color-accuracy projects such as interior photography, it's C1pro which has the edge over the other softwares..

I know of a secondary student a few years ago. At that point of time, he wanted to buy a Canon camera and so he asked his dad to sponsor it. Students nowsdays compared among themselves on what they have, and not on the photos, said one of my friend who is a secondary school teacher. One student told his friends that his dad bought him a 1D mk IV, so what did you have or what did your dad buy for you?

That's why we can see that students carry 1-series and 5D mk II and so on. This is so common nowadays. There is no need to be alarmed.

I don't think it is that difficult to tell between a genuine Canon battery and a compatible one. As far as I am aware, there are no counterfeit Canon batteries (just compatible ones that do not have the chip inside as thus are unable to display the power level).

Bro, you misunderstood me. What I am trying to say that if a rich student wanted to buy a camera for himself, something that will suit his status, he will pick up a 1D mk IV, 1Ds mk III and 5D mk II if he is interested in 35mm format. All those high end camera stuff.

If he wanted to buy a watch, of course a rolex may not be good enough but a $19k watch which you have witnessed.

For a rich person, every category of things must be high end, high class.

I still remember a friend of mine who is a daugther of some Indonesian tycoons. Her mum asked her to buy clothing that are high class, super expensive such as LV, Prada, and so on. Must wear to reflect your status. And most importantly, 钱不是问题.

no worries, i very stress when cameras can be use to reflect status, like that very hard to obtain my dream camera, a full frame triple digit D camera. Cameras should reflect the need of the individual not whether he is a student or not rich. Rich people do not necessary need to spend money to show they they have it.
