5D MKiii [rumored] vs D800 / E

Really dont see the reason why one need to compare and later got heated argument..... Just look at it as a camera and comment base on why it is good, should be better in what way blah blah.... Each will have its pro and cons.... Btw, the so call 5DMKIII not even out, hell its not even 100% its goin to be name as 5DMKIII.... Let canon launch and let them worried about the competitor... Not u.... The way it is going, more competition, usually better products.... That can only be good for consumer.... But not so good for wallet lar...

Hi N-user, don't worry, I am not about to get into an argument with anyone :) It was, afterall, just a fun exercise to speculate the next strategy of a camera company. :bsmilie:

Btw, I think it may be called 5Dx instead of 5D Mark III... Another speculation, this time on the name. Fun isn't it?

haaaa for the fun of it, that fine.... sometime gets too technical..... can be "boring"........ but ya, let the fella at Canon and Nikon and Olympus and Sony and Panasonic and Pentax worried about the strategy, what is their directions.... we just have fun... but this year, everyone got their own toys to look forward too..... gonna to be a fun year..:lovegrin:

Canon is the DSLR leader with the greatest technological advantage but they have decided that it is not in their best interests to always give their best technology. Canon's strategy is to offer incremental (or marginal) improvements sufficient to sell the next model unlike Nikon which is giving everything it can to win back the market share since the days when it claimed all you need is a DX sensor. Canon's strategy has given Nikon a lifeline so there is probably some truth in the conspiracy theories.
This time Nikon has forced the hand of Canon again, and trust me, Canon will respond, just adequately. So we must all thank Nikon for this. Go Nikon Go!

True for all we know ... canon has 2-3generation of tech in its vault waiting to be shown only when competition heats up.
not sure if this model is correct for a company.
if you look at intel and AMD... intel dominates so much they can quote crazy prices and implement new tech slower.

I think Canon Rumour lose out to Nikon Rumours in terms of accuracy base on past rumours vs actual product. Just treat it as reading pleasure lah....:)

Which also means that Canon is getting better and better in keeping secrets and launching surprises to us customers :)

why not implement a body with both EF and EFS mode?... just like nikon's FF bodies with FX and DX mode...

Yes and two different models... one offering a swivel screen and the other a standard LCD.

How about Canon offer a DIY model, like you can set up DIY PC....

Now, you can Set up DIY camera.... you choose your Sensor, your lens mount... so you can use canon, nikon, etc mount... leica, etc....

U can also chose Sony, M43, etc....

Of course, you can chose swivel screen LCD or not....

Great idea right??? ;);)
