5D Mark II body

Side track abit... with the price for 5D MkII, I'm wondering if the Nikon D700 is a better choice other then the mega pixel?

5D Mark II la... The HD is enough for beat the crap out of D700 already - it's more than just a plus in a DSLR actually...something everyone said when it was first launched.

i went the 5D2 route but my neighbour sold his canon set up and went after the nikon route with the D700.

Never bought anything from IT show before and never will... It's just not condusive and the freebies are nothing to shout about. Free LCD protector, free tripod, free camera bags, free pen, free caps, free camera cleaning kit, free 2GB memory card, free 2GB thumb drive, etc... How much does all these adds up to?? Not even a hundred I think... But the price of the camera they're selling is close to the retail price which is way higher than what OP, JO, MS, TK, etc are selling.

But then again... we still need people to buy from IT shows to boost our economy...

If one sees a feature in D700 that beats 5D mark II then he/she will think D700 is better. So it all ends up with what you want to have in your camera. No apple to apple here.

Like for me, I know I don't shoot HD all the time, but I am just happy (more than happy actually) to have it in my cam, so.... 5D Mark II gets my vote. I don't shoot to 21MP all the time, but hey I can do it when I need it, so... 5D Mark II gets my vote again. But there'll be one who jumps in and say, D700 tracks better in focusing and I shoot moving subjects frequently... he/she would've gone with D700.

So..... one hasta know what he/she shoots/needs?
