Remember once when I wanted to buy some IT stuff. Went to 1st shop and was quoted $x. I went to another shop and when he quoted me a higher price, I told him that I could get it at $x. He seemed angry and told me that if I could get it at that price, he will sell me at half price!

So what do I do? I went back to the 1st shop to ask him to help me out, to give me a receipt for the item and I will show it to the 2nd shop (bloody innocent then), so that I can buy it at 1/2 price, cant be buying from both shops right? He asked me which shop was offering me such a deal and when I pointed it out to him, he refused to help me.... Later I found out that both the shops are of the same owner. They must be laughing their butts off when they talked about how silly I was....:lovegrin:

Like you said, cant trust SOME of the shops. Having said that, some shops or honest and I have no prob buying from them, and also, I am not as innocent and trusting now.

A friend of mine from Hong Kong told me that the average prices for the Canon EOS 5D over there is around S$5.6K together with the vertical grip. I think the prices will drop even further here. *Keep fingers crossed.*

prices in HK is usually lower.. n its a few hundreds diff... get your friend to buy for you if he's coming to Sg.. but you need to worry only about warranty...
