Knight : Can reveal wat u heard about better offers? It's ok if you're wrong. ;p

and also, what can three 120W lights do? is it bright enough ?

As above description by SniperD .. :)

Regarding 120W whether bright enough, well someone got to try it out and gives feedback the ... guess the shotting distance should not be more than 10m. :dunno:

sounds interesting. i wouldn't need all 3 because i would combine with my electronic flash. The guide number is 32 at 55 degrees spread which is seems to be around the same output as a Sigma 500 or less.... the modelling light is useful

If i keep 2 lights and sell off one light+stand/softbox at $200, anyone interested?

U would needs one main light using softbox, one slave light using umbrella as reflector and background light if necessary, better to keep it .... :D

compensation by ISO rating lor... hehe.. but I would use it to do product shoot :)

very interested to have it go along with the tent from eastgear which bought quite a while ago... so when is east gear's stock coming in?

Me too interested to get hold of the lights and tent.
Have put down my name for them at Eastgear.
Cannot wait to try them ;p

Just went to Akira and had a look at the $599 setup. Not bad if you're considering doing product shots with the kit. I thought the lights looked familiar (similar to some other China-made studio lights) and asked the sales staff (who's from China btw) if the lights are OEM. He said yes, just repackaged under Akira brand-name. He wasn't willing to tell me the parent brand of the lights in China, but he was quite agitated when I mentioned 'yin yan' which is another brand of studio eqpt in China. ;p

Anyway I didn't get the lights in the end, they looked really lacklustre as compared to the Elinchrome kit. But of course, it is a >1k difference we're talking about here.

*Ahem* So SniperD... You getting it?!??!?! ;p

anyone getting the kit willing to part with 1 light + stand + softbox ?? ... say for about $160 ?? just trying my luck :)

Anyone got the Akira set? or waiting for the "eastgear" set to come?

If you got it please update how's the "performance" of the set. Thx! :D

so no news from eastgear yet?

kinda tempted to get it today or over the weekend... btw, can it be used with a F828? how to sync flash?

sian.... can't do portraiture leh... found that the wattage is not enough.. need 200W minimum.....

will the setup increase the electrical bill?
