Rashkae,
Thanks for the offer.. I think it's not the lens or camera.. rather it's due to f1.4 setting.. It's difficult to get the good focus..
I'm doing more testing with the lens.. and I think the lens is OK.
Our camera tend to focus on more contrast area, even though if we put spot focus, it still will focus on the slightly off centre more contrast area like in your last photo.
Even not at f/1.4, the 50mm sometime focus on the more contrast background rather than the subject
Hi,
Just to update all that at the end, I send in my camera to SONY service center for calibration. I found out that there is back focus issue when I use KM5D with KM 50 f1.4 lens...
The other lens, no problem...
Collected the camera today, indicated in the record, alignment done on sensor #4 7.. defects 4 2 misaligned.. repair 6 d e software..
Seem like now the focus is spot on.. and the AF seems to be faster as well..
I need to verify the faster AF part but the focus definitely improved.
Another point to highlight is the great service from Mr. Seah. I called him this afternoon to inform him that I need the camera for tomorrow Thaipusam shoot & needs to collect the camera tonight.. and he immediately work on my camera.. I managed to collect my camera by 7pm.. Great support SONY and Mr. Seah
Yes, Mr. Seah/ Sia (?) is nice and helpful,
I calibrated my KM5D also with him while KM was still around and service center at Commonwealth.
