50mm f1.4 or 85mm f1.8

On the 5d2, both lenses are essential. 85 is more a portrait lens while the 50 is more a general or standard lens.

TS, just buy both? u look pretty loaded. or u can try 50 f/1.8 + 85 f/1.8...in this way u can have both focal lengths!

I noticed on your signature that you have 24-70, then 85f1.8 will be a better choice. I have both 50f1.4 and 85f1.8. I personally love 85 more. it have a better build, faster and nice bokeh IMO. :heart:
