do you have any issues at the moment?

I hardly can fixed the AF on the middle top point when specific to the point. the AF always run out of it when i choose that point and finally the status led blinking End up cant shoot on it. Anyone have the same problem?

regardless of camera, in low light photo will turn up dark unless u either of the following

-adjust to higher ISO
-increase shutter delay
-use bigger apperture
-use flash

maybe u can share what ur settings are that results in drak photos

cous i find 500d during lowlight is kind of dark :/

Here's one:

Program AE, 1/20s f/3.5, evaluative metering, +2/3 exp comp, ISO auto (camera selected 640), 18-55 kit lens.

If your images are too dark:
1. In P mode, increase exposure compensation.
2. In TV mode, decrease shutter speed then increase exp comp to force a wider aperture.
3. in AV mode, set aperture to the widest for the lens you're using and again increase exp comp to force a slower shutter speed. If the resulting shutter speed is too slow for handholding, increase the ISO or set it to auto.

hey! i'm pretty new to photography myself, but may i offer some suggestions to this photo.

i think this photo was taken straight from the camera without much post-processing (pp)? cos i find that maybe if more of the bottom part of the photo, the river, was cropped out, the focus of the photo, the bridge, would stand out more. of course do take care to include the light trails from the boats, and not to crop them out.

just my two cents. =)

Hi guys,
Looking forward to purchase my 1st DSLR. Got some questions on Canon 500D.
Is the noise level performance better than Canon 450D? I think I don’t really need the video function of the 500D. For me, it’s the picture quality that is most important.
Does it have multiple exposure mode? In other words, can I super impose 2 images into one single frame? Does 450D have this function too?
