there is alot of people selling in Mass Sales thread. I had one. but using the hot shoe cover will result in unable to use flash

Yo. I am another new 500d user. Just collected my 500d body from the Canon Cte through the exchange program. Very satisfied with their service and waited only 4 working days to get the cam. Was asked to choose between the normal camera bag (think is EOS pro) and a super-chio LV hand bag like camera bag as the free gift. So chose the second one and purchase the speedlite 270EX at discounted price also. Thumb up Canon.

My intention is to avoid dust go in or protect the connected since I not yet start to use any additional flash attach...

Why u said will unable to use flash? Putting hot shoe cover will spoil the connected??

Hi does anyone knows how to open/import RAW into Lightroom or photoshop cause I can't open them after shooting with my 500D. The file format is in *.CR.

i know CP sells the nikon hot shoe cap for $4. it will fit on 500D.

with cap, you cannot mount external flash unit, only can use pop up flash.

No. the built in flash will not pop up or fire with the hot shoe cap. I have search around canon had a tiny switch in hot shoe. Once there is a object there, the built in flash will not pop up or fire. The switch is black in colour on the right of the hot shoe.

Hi Sorry to offtopic, I always want to buy a DSLR and after reading so much reviews, I decided to buy a 500D. Ia m going to oversea, Korea and pitstop to HK. May I know go where buy cheaper? I got a friend who tell me korea cameras cheaper but I dunno compared to HK where cheaper...

Body would adv to get in singapore though hk will be cheaper but the body's warranty is non-international, only valid in the country you bought it from.

Lens on the other hand can be bought overseas. not referring to grey sets. make sure ur lens come with an international warranty card. If anything less than that, reject to purchase tat item.

Are you asking a question there? Couldn't make it out as you started as if you were making a statement. But if you were asking if it is advisable to DL the extra styles to your camera, it's all a matter of personal choice. But yes, you can UPLOAD it to your camera. I've got 2 extra styes in slots 1 & 2 from a different website.

Can't remember the site, but if you do a search in here, I'm sure you will find it.
