Wow... Very impressive Steve... U make me totally agree with you that is the man behind the camera that matters... It doesnt matter wat camera the person is holding...
I'm using Canon prosumer too, but I'm no where near ya. Hahaha... Anyway. I just wanna thank you for the precious advice during the MOG outing N the Workshop held at YCK...

amazing.. awesome.. (what else.. have to open up a dictionary .. lost of words :bsmilie: :bsmilie: )
love your works
I am so fascinated with your pictures.
I don't have a macro lens, but your pictures just slapped me in the face so hard that I am back to page 1 of basic photography. :bsmilie:
BTW: How did you train your fly to stay so still...![]()
Can I know how close are you from the fly, what the focal length, did you crop the picture...?
think got lots to learn from you...
Hi Steve,
I looked at your pics the first thing after the BBQ. Love it! Don't know much about macro or glasses so cannot comment about colour or CA or composition and the like. I'm still stuck at 'knowing my equipment', as you saySo I shall say what I know. Your images creep me out! Ewww, housefly, and so up close and personal, I'm going to have nightmares hehe.
Before you start on your next series, could you post some close up of cuter insects? Something that leaves a warm and fuzzy feeling inside? Keep shooting and doing what you're doing.
hi steve, nice meeting last night at the bbq.
i have a question, we know compact digital camera has amazing dov. what is you aperture setting in these shots. if you use a dlsr with a say tamron 90mm macro with your amazing diy close filter, what would be the aperture likely to be, given that the dov is much shallower in this case.
extremely nice! the man has struck again! anyway, u once again proved that the equipment is secondary. the photographer is the primary 1.
bro, i've sent u a pm. hope u can help me. thanks!
