adrianlekt: If you are using 30D, no point upgrading IMO. 40D is great and worth it if you are trading up from a 300D or 10D. From 20D perhaps, 30D well ....
Do you need:
- the extra 2MP (marginal)
- the extra speed (marginally faster)
- liveview (which is slow because AF requires mirror up/down with AF-On button then the shutter release)
- the 14 bit processing (marginal)
- bigger viewfinder (marginal) and interchangeable screens
- quieter shutter
If the answer is no to most of the above, stick to the 30D - I nearly bought a second hand 30D myself (better value) but decided - what the heck, treat myself. Emotional rather than rational decision!
